Get ready Louisiana – here comes the O’Reilly Auto Parts Thunder Jam.

The sites, sounds and action of the most exciting thrill show on the planet, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Thunder Jam presented by SafeAuto and the U.S. Air Force, will finally be returning to Louisiana in spectacular fashion as some of the world’s fastest, loudest and most extreme vehicles take center stage at State Capitol Raceway May 16 at 7 p.m.

Simply put, if you liked Nitro Jam last March – you will love Thunder Jam.

“The O’Reilly Auto Parts Thunder Jam just keeps getting bigger and bigger and we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing Thunder Jam to Louisiana,” said Thunder Jam Operations Manager James Marchyshyn. “This show is going to be absolutely huge. The fans won’t know what to think when they see these machines in action.”

When the O’Reilly Thunder Jam rolls into town, everyone knows about it – whether they like it or not. Like a scene from a Hollywood blockbuster, the sky will light up and the earth will shake when the baddest, most exciting exhibition vehicles in the world take the stage in Louisiana next weekend.

And there is no badder vehicle on earth than the “X-Treme Machine” jet semi.

The 20,000 horsepower monster will dazzle the crowd with its spectacular display of thunder and 30 foot flame show: a site that must be witnessed to be believed.

“Simply put, there is nothing that compares to seeing one of these jet semis in action. From the 20 foot flames to the earth shattering launch, these vehicles simply take your breath away,” Marchyshyn added.

And “X-Treme Machine” is only part of the show O’Reilly Thunder Jam has in store.

One of the most popular vehicles in all of motorsports, the world’s only wheelstanding school bus – “The Cool Bus” – will once again try to keep its headlights pointing due North with a length-of-the-track wheelie accompanied by sparks, fire and the roar of the most powerful school bus engine ever assembled.

Add in a side-by-side battle of the jet trains “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “Cannonball Express” and you have one event that simply can’t be missed.

If you purchase your tickets in advance at participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores you can take advantage of an amazing deal. Just buy your adult ticket for $20 and get a 12-and-under kid’s ticket for free. And, as always, parking and all-access pit passes are free at the Bud Ice Pit Party.

“We emphasize affordable family entertainment and value with Thunder Jam,” Marchyshyn said. “We know our fans work hard for their money and we strive to provide them with a great show at an unbeatable price.”

Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. with all of the action getting underway at 7 p.m.

Don’t be left out of the conversation when the most talked about event in the country rolls into town May 16 at State Capitol Raceway. For more information call 225-627-4574 or check out www.statecapitolraceway.com or www.thunderjam.com
