The list of heavy hitters that have qualified for the Tournament Of Champions grew by seven former or defending World Champions at the recently completed IHRA Spring Nationals.

With an event championship, past world champions Ricky Adkins (TS), Brett Nesbitt (TD & QR), Michael Beard (SS) and Glenn Ferguson (HR) qualified for the Tournament Of Champions.  With their Summit All Star win, Scott Richardson (SS), Myron Piatek (ST) and Kenny Underwood (HR) also former world champions are now in the Tournament Of Champions.  This brings the total of former World Champions qualified for the Tournament Of Champions to ten, as Gary Bingham (TS) and Slate Cummings (SS & ST) qualified at Baton Rouge.

Joining these world champs at the final table are Greg Rowe (ST) and Shane Maddox (SR) who won their class at the IHRA Spring Nationals.  Summit All Star champions Chris Gulitti (TS), Luke Bogacki (TD), Scooter Choate (QR) and Todd Thompson (SR) raced their way to the world finals and will be joining the rest of the qualifiers in the Tournament Of Champions.

The next Tournament Of Champions qualifying events will be held May 29-31 at Dallas raceway for the Amalie Oil Texas Nationals Nitro Jam and at Richmond Dragway for the Champion Systems Sportsman Nationals presented by VP Racing Fuels
