DRM Issue # 23 – Celebrating With The Class Of 2008
| POSTED: 2008-12-22 10:41:00 |

Mason, Ohio’s Great Wolf Lodge was party central when the 2008 IHRA champions gathered to celebrate a hard-fought season of competition.
Friday night, November 14, saw the top runners in the IHRA Sportsman ranks take to the stage to receive Ironman statuettes, plaques, and, of course, cash before a large group of family, friends, and fellow racers. In addition, top performers, series sponsors, and track operators were also acknowledged.
The next night it was all tuxedos and gowns as the fourteen World Champions for 2008 and their husbands, wives, girlfriends, and/or guests graced the head table at the gala awards banquet. After a sumptuous meal, the awards were handed out, the speeches were made, and the photos were taken. Then it was time to have some real fun! Check out our extensive banquet coverage in Issue 23. You’ll be amazed at how well our racers clean up!
