Piedmont Dragway was the scene of the Summit SuperSeries run off this past weekend for the Raiders and Patiots divisions. Due to the fact that those division’s team finals do not occur until after the World Finals, a special run off was held for those track champions.

From the Raiders division Henry Martin from Roxboro Dragway took first place honors in the Box class and Chad Harris from Motor Mile Dragway won it in the No Box class.

From the Patriots division Chad Brewer from Fayetteville Motorsports Park came away with the first place in the Box class and Jay Norris from Greer Dragway the No Box Class.
Racers who finish first in their track's Summit SuperSeries points compete against other track’s point leaders at the Summit Team Finals in their division. The winner of each division’s run-off event competes for the World Championship at the World Finals, October 17-19, at Rockingham Dragway. The winner of the Box and No Box categories will receive $10,000 from Summit Racing Equipment. The runners-up in each class will win $7,000, semifinalists get $2,000 and quarterfinalists receive $1,000. Every entrant will receive $1,000 tow money when they tech in at the event.
The No Box winner will also receive a 28’ Vintage Intimidator Trailer, Custom Davis Golf Cart, Aruba vacation, banquet recognition, Diamond Championship ring, and Ironman. The Box winner will also receive a turn-key Mullis Race Car dragster, Aruba vacation, banquet recognition, Diamond Championship ring, and Ironman. Racers who finish first at their local track will also receive $1,000. Other prizes will also be available.
