2008 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by Mr. Gasket North Stars double race weekend event.

When: Aug 22-24, 2008

What to expect: This is the fourth and final stop for the Division 3 North Stars and this is our first ever Pro-Am at Grand Bend. Gates will open Friday Aug 22nd at 3 pm. Tech will be open from 4pm-9pm and there will be a Test & Tune from 6pm – 10:30pm. Saturday tech will open at 8:00am with 2 time trial/qualifying sessions beginning at 9 am with eliminations immediately following 2nd session. There will also be a bracket race which will begin time trials at 12:00 noon with eliminations to follow.  Sunday gates open at 8:00 am with 1 time trial/qualifying session at 9:30 am and then we will go immediately into eliminations. There will also be a bracket race with time trials beginning at 12:00 noon with eliminations to follow.

Moser Engineering Axle Mania—To be eligible a racer must run a set of Moser axles and have the proper Moser Engineering decals and complete the registration form. All IHRA sportsman racers who meet the eligibility requirements will have the opportunity to qualify for a $51,000 purse, including a top prize of $22,500. The seventh edition of Moser Axle Mania will be run at the Torco Northern Nationals at Knoll Gas Motorsports Park in August of 2008.

American Race Cars Free Ride—At each 2008 Summit Pro-Am a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double two drivers will be selected. The American Race Cars Free Ride winner will be pulled at random from those tech cards at the 2008 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Banquet. Two tech cards will be pulled, the first winning a Silver Card good for a free car and driver entry at each of that driver’s 2009 in-division Divisional races. The second card pulled will determine the winner of a $10,000 gift certificate good towards the purchase of a new American Race Car.
