Quaker City Raceway is home for the Street Warriorz series this week.  A full field of cars and bikes are participating in the KOTS and KOTS BIKES!
The bikes field is going to be a barn burner.  We have 2 cruisers in the running for the Top Gun Award from the U.S. AirForce in the KOTS BIKES!  And the cruisers looked good in their practice run.  In the KOTS it will be a tough job for the spotter at the top side of the race track calling the finish.  Mustangs, Camaro, and a couple of Imports are all trying for the King Of The Street Title.
The main stage has just come to life.  The crowd was packed around the OutLaw Road Show, clamoring for all of the free goodies put out into the crowd, courtesy of the Torco Race Fuel Ladies.  The DJ had the place hopping and the spectators going absolutely wild.  The reason for the off the hook antics, was the winners of the stage shows are made honorary judges of the Barely Legal Bikini Contest.
Back to the KOTS.  This is one of the most eclectic groups of cars and drivers yet this year.  A wide range of different styles of race cars are ready to do battle.  An Olds 442,
an old Chevy panel wagon and the above mentioned rides.  In the elimination rounds, the only shocker was the Chrysler 300 that won a round.  In the 2nd elimination round the 300 did not fair to well, coming up just short of seeing the win light.  Out of the 2^nd round and going to the semi final will be the Nova, a 67 or 68 Camaro, a mid 70’s Camaro, and a Mustang Shelby.  Semi is coming up.  I pick the Nova and the late 60’s Camaro to make it to the end.  I was half right.  The Nova maid the main event, but it was the mid 70’s Camaro instead of the late 60’s Camaro that won their way to the final.  In the final, the Nova left a little early on the arm drop start, but the Camaro came to race, and race he did.  He ran down and passed the Nova for the win.  A Suzuki Boulevard (cruiser bike) made the final of KOTS BIKES! along with a GSXr.  The Gixxer, a bullet bike, came out on top.

The bikini contest turned into a fashion show when two ladies out of the crowd fashioned bikinis out of t-shirts within 5 minutes to make the stage.  I can’t wait until the photos are posted for this one!  We’ll see you in Milan next weekend!
