American Race Cars Free Ride Program
Mark Horton and Travis Colangelo of American Race Cars are proud to once again sponsor the “Free Ride” program that they have underwritten since 2008. American has established itself as a key player in the dragster chassis business, and many of today’s champions drive their cars.
“We are very proud to be a part of the IHRA and the 'Free Ride' program offers us a way to give back to the racers,” Horton said.
“We get to help an actual racer into one of our cars. We couldn’t ask for anything better,” added Colangelo.
The winner of the “American Race Cars Free Ride” program will receive a $10,000 gift certificate good toward the purchase of a new car. At each Summit Pro-Am in 2010 a random driver will be selected from the tech cards at that event. If the Pro-Am is a double, two drivers will be selected. The “American Free Ride” winner will be pulled from those drivers entered at the 2010 IHRA awards celebration. There will be two drivers drawn. The first will receive a Silver card and the second the $10,000 American gift certificate.
