The Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL event scheduled for this weekend at Piedmont Dragway has been rescheduled.

With a less than favorable forecast calling for rain and cold temperatures, the IHRA and track management at Piedmont Dragway have rescheduled the event to June 28-30. The format and class structure for the weekend will be the same as the original date.

“Due to the forecast for rainy and cool conditions this weekend, Piedmont Dragway unfortunately will have to reschedule the event,” said Kevin Shipmon, track manager at Piedmont Dragway. “The cold temperatures will not be conducive to proper racing conditions for our competitors. The event will now take place June 28-30 and will follow the same schedule. Piedmont Dragway and the IHRA hope to see all the racers at the June event.”

“While we always hate to move a race, in this instance it is better to be safe than sorry,” said Satch Gragg, IHRA Division 9 Director. “We want to do what is in the best interest of our customers and this is definitely what is best for all involved parties. We hope to see all of our great Division 9 competitors back out at Piedmont Dragway in June.”
