Over half of North America will be represented. Former champions, reigning Pro-Am champions and all major racers winners from 2012 will be on hand. The best racers in the world will go head-to-head March-madness style with everything on the line.
That can only mean one thing – the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals are back.
Memphis International Raceway will be the site of this year’s IHRA Summit World Finals as the world-class facility in Millington, Tenn. hosts three huge races this Friday, Saturday and Sunday with 10 world championships, the final seven regular season Ironman trophies of the year and over $200,000 in cash and prizes on the line.
The World Finals weekend at Memphis International Raceway will feature the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Spectacular open to all racers on Friday and Saturday followed by the invitation-only Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions and Summit SuperSeries presented by AMSOIL and Moser Engineering World Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

DETAILS
: Memphis International Raceway will host three separate races this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The first race, the Summit Sportsman Spectacular, is open to all racers and will serve as a last chance opportunity to qualify for the Summit Tournament of Champions. Racing is conducted in IHRA’s seven regular touring Pro-Am classes of Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, ClassRacer.com Super Stock, ClassRacer.com Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod with each winner collecting a $5,000 payday.
Entry into the Sportsman Spectacular is only $200 with a guaranteed $5,000 to win for Pro-Am classes plus national event contingency going to the winner in each of the regular IHRA touring classes. IHRA members that don’t go through the re-entry round will also earn a spot in the Tournament of Champions.
The final two races of the weekend will determine the International Hot Rod Association’s 2012 World Champions. The championships in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod will be determined during the Summit Tournament of Champions on Sunday, October 14. The championships in Top ET, Mod ET and Junior Dragster will be determined during the Summit SuperSeries on Saturday, October 13. Both races are invitation-only tournaments featuring competitors that qualified for the race during the 2012 racing season.
