Memphis International Raceway hosts Summit Pro-Am Tour this weekend

The 2012 IHRA Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL travels to Memphis International Raceway in Tennessee August 16-19 for the finale Division 4 Renegades points meet of the year. The event will feature a double Pro-Am points claim with a test and tune Thursday, another test session and qualifying on Friday, qualifying and race one on Saturday and qualifying and race two on Sunday.

What to expect : The fourth and final Summit Pro-Am event of  Division 4 will be held at Memphis International Raceway on August 16-19. On Thursday the gates open at 3 p.m. and the track will hold a test and tune from 6-11 p.m. for $20 which is open to the general public. There will be no IHRA staff on site.  

On Friday the gates will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. for parking. Tech will be open from 12-8 p.m. There will be a test and tune from 12-5 p.m. for $40 for those interested in participating. At 6 p.m. there will be one time trial/qualifying session for all Summit Pro-Am competitors.  

On Saturday the gates will open at 10 a.m. and tech will open at noon. A second time trial/qualifying session will be at 4 p.m., with the first Pro-Am immediately following. Sunday morning the gates will open at 8 a.m., God Speed chapel service at 8:15 a.m. and one time trial (time and weather permitting) at 9 a.m. followed by the second Pro-Am of the weekend.  

Run order for the event will be Hot Rod, Stock, Quick Rod, Top Sportsman, Super Rod, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Junior Beginner, Junior Advance, and Junior Masters.
