What to expect : The fourth Division 3 North Stars points claiming weekend at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park will offer IHRA class racers the opportunity to run in front of packed stands as it coincides with the Nitro Jam event.

The Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL will operate much like the double-divisional events of the past, but once the sun goes down and the sportsman racers have had their share of racing for the day, the smell of Nitro Jam will fill the air of the prestigious facility in Martin Michigan.

Friday will offer a test and tune throughout the afternoon into the evening before moving into the pro class cars for two rounds of Nitro Jam racing. One qualifying session for Top Sportsman and Top Dragster will be offered as a way to introduce sportsman racing to the fans during the Nitro Jam event.

Saturday morning will hold two qualifying rounds for Class racers, followed by eliminations for the IHRA class racers and E.T classes. Nitro Jam rounds will run at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with sportsman racing showcased in front of the fans in between Nitro Jam rounds.

Sunday will offer one time run and eliminations.

“I am beside myself with anticipation in offering the combined Pro-Am and Nitro Jam event here at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.  I’m looking forward to seeing the class racers of the North Stars Division. The chance to offer thousands of dollars to our local E.T. racers, along with a change to run in front of huge crowd expected for the weekend is a great opportunity,” General Manager Jason Peterson said.
