If you haven’t already locked in your spot for the 2012 Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions presented by AMSOIL time is running out. 

A little over two months out, there are only two chances remaining for racers to qualify for the Tournament of Champions before Memphis and they both take place the weekend of August 10-12 in two of drag racing’s most notorious hot spots. 

First up in the heart of motorsports country is the Division 9 Tournament of Champions qualifier at Farmington Dragway. The Farm, as it is known, will host two points-paying Pro-Am races on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12 to wrap up the Raiders season with Sunday’s winners also earning a spot in the year-end championship tournament. 

A little over 700 miles north on that same weekend U.S. 131 Motorsports Park will host its own double Pro-Am in Division 3 in conjunction with the Nitro Jam professional show Friday and Saturday night. The Pro-Am portion of the weekend will take place on Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12 with Saturday's winners earning a spot in the TOC. 

Both events are notorious for drawing large car counts and the racing is sure to be intense as drivers jockey for a final automatic qualifying spot before the Summit Racing Equipment World Finals at Memphis International Raceway the weekend of October 12-14 

Already this year over 60 different drivers have earned their way into the year-end championship tournament at Memphis International Raceway with three qualifiers left to go. Following the upcoming double weekend, the third and final automatic qualifier will be held at the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Spectacular presented by AMSOIL taking place one day before the TOC also at MIR. 

The rest of the field will be filled out by drivers that finish in the top three in their respective Summit Pro-Am divisions.
