Immokalee Regional Raceway hosts first Summit Pro-Am event of 2012 season February 3-5

The 2012 IHRA Summit Pro-Am Tour season kicks off February 3-5 at Immokalee Regional Raceway in Florida with a double Pro-Am weekend. The event will feature two Pro-Am points claims and the first Summit Tournament of Champions qualifying race of the year on Sunday. The weekend will also feature a gamblers race, a Quick 16, the first-ever points race for Junior Dragsters in Division 2 and a huge racer party after the Pro-Am race Saturday night.

What to expect
: The first stop of the 2012 Summit Pro-Am Tour season will be at Ralph Hester's Immokalee Regional Raceway. The gates will open on Friday morning at 10 a.m. and tech will begin at 2 p.m. and close at 9 p.m. for early arriving participates. There will be a track hosted test and tune from 5-10 p.m. for $35. On Saturday the gates and tech will open at 8 a.m. There will be two time trial/qualifying sessions with eliminations immediately following the second time trial. Sunday the gates will open at 8 a.m. and God Speed will host a church service at 8:30 a.m. One time trial/ qualifying session will get underway at 9 a.m. and go directly into the Summit Tournament of Champions qualifying event. Both events this weekend will count as an in division claim for all participants and Sunday's event will qualify each of the winners for the year-end championship tournament.
