Always among the most popular events on the IHRA schedule each year are the Junior Dragster Team Finals featuring weekends filled with great racing and plenty of fun for the young racers of the IHRA. 

Open to Junior Dragster racers of every level, the 2012 Junior Dragster Team Finals will be held at three venues featuring three full days of racing, games and fun for boys and girls both young and old. The 2012 Junior Dragster Team Finals will kick off the weekend of April 20-22 at Southwestern International Raceway, followed by an event at Maryland International Raceway the weekend of July 6-8 and will be capped off with an event at State Capitol Raceway the weekend of October 26-28. 

This will be the first year a Junior Team Finals event will be held at Southwestern International Raceway in Tucson. 

“With the addition of Southwestern International, giving the juniors in the west a great place to run, the Junior Team Finals are shaping into a well-rounded, cross country series,” said Sherrie Barbour. “This year will mark Maryland International Raceway’s 16th year of hosting the junior event and every year it gets better. Wrapping up the year will be State Capitol Raceway which stepped up last year and not only provided the juniors with a great racing venue, but also some fun features for the families. 

“It should be an incredible year for our younger competitors.”
