Dart’s Carts Offers Different Options for IHRA Racers Even though Dart’s Carts was founded at a golf course in Jackson, Tenn., motorsports is more of what the company is known for. A longtime supporter of Memphis International Raceway, Dart’s Carts is also the official golf carts and side-by- provider of the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA). Dart Longeway and his son Trad are the owners and operators of the golf cart and utility cart sales and repair company which has been in business since 1999. Dart’s Carts offers nationwide shipping and no sales tax outside of Tennessee. With the IHRA partnership, Dart’s Carts will provide one-of-a-kind custom golf carts to the Top (Box) and Mod (No Box) World Champions at the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals at MIR. In addition, IHRA members receive special discounts on purchases as part of their IHRA membership package. Trad Longeway likes to say that Dart’s Carts are not just for golf anymore. “The golf portion of our business is maybe 15 percent,” he said. “Everything else is people using the vehicles for their farm, their land, around the neighborhood or at the track. We have a good selection of inventory, light duty to heavy duty, for whatever their needs.” An authorized dealer of E-Z-Go and Yamaha products, Dart’s Carts specialize in new and used golf carts and utility cars with in-house financial available. Aftermarket parts are also available for purchase along with their personal touch to customize your cart. Certain options are very popular with the drag racers. “The racers generally like the rear seat on the cart,” Trad said. “They may have other needs if they have their car set up for a push rod. A lot of the guys like having the tunes on the cart where they have music they can listen to.” There are even models designed to look like classic cars, especially popular are the 1957 Chevrolet replicas. “We built a couple of 57s. We’ve got one in the showroom of the classic red color,” Trad said. “We’ve even built an old 40s model truck. “We took another golf cart, stretched it about 20 inches and put a roll cage in it. We dropped a motor in it, put racing slicks on it and that’s our drag golf cart that we take to big events every year. It’s always a wow factor when people see it.” There is another wow factor with how Dart’s Carts has grown in recent years with the product line now including UTVs, ATVs, zero turn mowers, generators and power washers. For the folks at Dart’s Carts, it’s about taking care of the customer during and after the sale. “We enjoy helping our customers and fulfilling their needs,” Trad said. “After the sale, we service the units with any type of tune-ups and offer add-on accessories they decide on. With the carts, many will decide to trade on a newer model after a few years. To see our customers happy, that’s the most satisfying part of the job.” Click here to visit Dart’s Carts website and to check out the current inventory. 10
